Veracruz received the “Let’s clean up our Mexico” 2014 award for its environmental caring

With this recognition, the state is identified as the most involved regarding the cleaning of its public spaces

Because of its work and contribution to the society for its environmental caring, the state governor Javier Duarte de Ochoa received the “Let’s clean up our Mexico” 2014 award this Friday. With this recognition, Veracruz became one of the states with the most involvement regarding the cleaning of its public spaces.

In Mexico City, the president of Salinas Group, Ricardo Salinas Pliego, delivered this award that recognizes the actions from the state citizens to clean the surroundings and protection of the ecology.
 
In the presence of the Environmental and Natural Resources Secretary, Juan Jose Guerra Abud, Duarte de Ochoa recalled that more than 115 thousand citizens in Veracruz met to collect more than 115 thousand pounds of garbage in just one day, which generated conscience inside the society for the need to build an adequate tank for wastes.
 
While receiving the award, Duarte de Ochoa recognized the great work from Salinas Group and the Azteca Foundation for their efforts to coordinate, with the help of Bimbo Group, in order to make the biggest cleaning event every year.
 
In front of the Azteca Foundation president, Esteban Moctezuma Barragan, the president of the Salinas Group’s Sports Committee, Gustavo Guzman Sepulveda; as well as the director of the Personnel and Relations Corporative, Raul Arguelles Diaz Gonzalez, the state governor reaffirmed that Veracruz is assuming and achieving its responsibility of taking care of the natural resources that will be an inheritance for the future generations.
