North Korean ship “Mu Du Bong” damaged 40 meters of the reef zone in Tuxpan

- The boat made a mistake during its route and ran aground: Ricardo Maza

The North Korean ship “Mu Du Bong” ran aground a few days ago in the reefs in Tuxpan, 12 kilometers away from the coast, damaging 40 meters of the reef zone.

The emergency coordinator of the State Civil Protection, Ricardo Maza Limon, said that the boat made a mistake during its route causing the run aground.
 
He indicated that the 6 thousand tons ship was sailing empty and the whole crew is medically stable, and now they are working with the Port’s captaincy as well as the Secretary of Communications and Transportation and the Federal Environment Protection Bureau (PROFEPA in Spanish).

After indicating that as part of the State Emergency Committee, the state Secretary of Civil Protection was alert of the incidents and added that the ship is not in risk of sinking and is not polluting the beaches.
 
“It is a bulk-carrier ship, and it was empty. We estimated 40 meters of damage to the reef zone and the PROFEPA as well as the Port’s captaincy took part to take legal action.”

Cabe mencionar que hace dos días encalló este buque Mu Du Bong el cual iba vacío y cuenta con un peso de más de 6 mil toneladas.
 
He highlighted that the “Mu Du Bong” ship ran aground two days ago, it was empty while sailing and it weights more than 6 thousand tons.
